Hellooo
I know I did a post yesterday, but I also watched a film yesterday and before I forget to do it; I thought I'd write a quick review about it..
The film is called 'The help', it is about a young woman, Eugenia 'Skeeter' Phelan, and her relationship with two black maids, Aibileen Clark and Minny Jackson during the Civil Rights era in America. Skeeter is a journalist who decides to write a book from the point of view of the maids, "the help", exposing the racism they are faced with as they work for white families.
I wasn't sure what to expect, but I had heard good reviews, and my Gran lent it to me so I didn't actually have to buy it - so I thought may as well give it a go. OH MY GOODNESS.. I loved it. It's emotional, but sooo funny, it's just such a good film. It's based on a book, and although I know what happens (or at least some of what must be in the book, it's now on my 'books to read' list). Absolutely 10/10, I can't think of anything bad about it.. such perfect actors and a great plot - definite new favourite film.. I recommend anyone to watch it!
